About Mrs. Hapli
This is my 18th year in elementary education. I have a passion for working with my students to create a loving class family. I enjoy helping my students find their voice so they feel empowered to lead others in a positive way. I believe it's essential to meet students wherever they are and differentiate my instruction to help them grow in both confidence and skills.
Prior to moving to the Chicago area, I lived in Florida for over 30 years. I graduated from the University of South Florida with a BA in Psychology. I've also recently earned a Master's degree in Instructional Design and Technology. After spending a few years as a stay-at-home mom, I started teaching the same year my oldest son started kindergarten. That was quite a year for us! I've taught all subjects in kindergarten through 5th grade, in addition to 6th grade reading and Media Arts. I've also served as a trainer, an interventionist, and an educational technology specialist. My husband and I, along with our three cats, Adso, Zelda, and Matilda absolutely love this area! I have two adult sons, Trevor (23, an Air Force flight medic), and Evan (21, a manager-in-training who's also pursuing his passion for music). My favorite hobbies include seeing live music, traveling, camping with friends and family, reading, sewing, and acrylic painting. |
